Calm Cube Comfort Sympathetic Fight and Stress

When we are stressed, our bodies are in a constant state of fight-or-flight response mode. This response is due to the fact that our sympathetic nervous system is activated. Being in a constant state of stress is bad for our health as stress is one of the leading causes of mental and physical problems.

As we starts relaxing, the parasympathetic nervous system takes over and restores our bodies to a state of calm.

Calm Cube Comfort Parasympathetic Rest and Relax

The different settings on the Calm Cube Comfort are designed to help you move from a state of stress, to a state of Calm, in a consistent and repeatable way.

Setting 1 - 60Bpm Heartbeat

Calm Cube Comfort Icon Heartbeat

There is evidence to suggest that different conscious states can be associated with different brain waves, and that brain waves will naturally synchronize to the rhythm of periodic external stimuli. The 60 Beats per minute vibration generated by the Calm Cube Comfort, falls inside the Delta wave frequency range of 30 to 240 cycles per minute.

Delta waves are predominantly present during the slow-wave sleep cycle. Slow-wave sleep is important for memory consolidation. Slow-wave sleep allows brain recovery from its daily activities and for our fight-and-flight sympathetic response to decrease and our calm, parasympathetic, activity to increase.

Use the Heartbeat setting on the Calm Cube Comfort to clear your mind. If your thoughts wander, focus on the vibration to return to the present moment. Breathe deeply, and find your calm.

Setting 2 - Deep Breathing

Calm Cube Comfort Icon Breathing

Deep breathing is a good form of relaxation and may help with the relief of symptoms associated with stress

Setting 3 - Purring Vibration

Calm Cube Pet Cat Calm and Happy
Calm Cube Comfort Icon Purring

There is evidence to suggest that a cat’s purring have healing properties. The vibrations are believed to help with bone growth and repair, as well as with the strengthening of tendons and joints.
